It may sound too good to be true, but by enrolling in BUS 491, Special Topics: Using Golf in Business, you can benefit from a course that many describe as one of the most unique and professionally relevant courses at MSU.
This course is designed in a way that allows everyone to participate: from the new golfer to the more experienced player. The most valuable aspect of this course is the semester project: the (required) 9-hole team scramble Business Golf Outing. Students are paired with business professionals with extensive business golf experience. This outing provides students with a chance to practice business golf skills while networking with business professionals from many industries.
This OFF CAMPUS class is offered BOTH FALL AND SPRING SEMESTER and is conducted at Centennial Acres Golf Course in Sunfield, MI, 12485 Dow Rd, Sunfield, MI 48890.
Classes are held one time per week for 10 weeks. Class times are from 3:45 to 7:15 pm. Check the Schedule of Courses for class availability. Seats are going F-A-S-T so don’t delay!
You DO NOT need golf experience! This is NOT a fitness/physical activity course but we do cover the basics of grip, aim, stance and posture for putting, chipping, pitching and the full swing. We provide just enough swing experience to help the new golfer feel comfortable during the Business Golf Outing.
This class is open to ALL juniors, seniors and most graduate students.
Non-business students MAY enroll by requesting an override through the Online Override System

Business networks are built on the golf course, not in conference rooms or offices. Don’t be left sitting at your desk while your colleagues are out on the golf course building relationships, making decisions and closing deals!
